Black Widow: Biggest Unanswered MCU Questions

Well we’ve FINALLY seen Black Widow and it was worth the wait. The spy-family action drama had all the prison breaks, evil villain monologues and high concept final fights that we’ve come to expect from the MCU. Of course, it also featured all of the teases, lingering plot threads, easter eggs and mysteries we’ve come to expect from the MCU as well. This being a spy thriller, I guess we really should’ve seen that one coming.

Black Widow dropped all kinds of knowledge on us. It explored Black Widow’s origins, revealed the superhero history of the USSR and told us what Nat’s favorite fandom was. For every answer we got though, there was another question trailing after it. We learned about Budapest but we still don’t know what moment started Clint and Nat’s legendary friendship. We learned about Nat’s adopted family but were left with even more questions about her real one. Most importantly, we saw where all of the Widows, super soldiers like Red Guardian and the highly trained Terminator, Taskmaster ended up but we have no idea what they’ve been up to in the time between this prequel story and the present of the MCU. I’m pretty sure at least some of these questions will be answered when these new fan favorite characters inevitably return for their next moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe spotlight.
